Pelican Bay

'PUBLIC' ACCESS LIMITS - 5 MILE WALK 

(No water, No shelter, No toilets, No public phone from the top to the bottom & back - 5 miles)

Public access available in Pelican Bay area.
Access in the North is a public access point at Vanderbilt.
Access to the south is public at Clam Pass which ends at Clam Pass River (which is shown below)

County owned land in Pelican Bay

The red line circling the white treatment tank on the right is 12 acres of county owned land in the middle of Pelican Bay's Golf coarse and homes

Approx 450acres of land ( in yellow) along the shore and the mangrove area is all county owned land

However, the public cannot get to this area other than a 5 mile walk, by boat or by the river crossing to the south at Clam Pass which is designed to be 8' deep
